ADB sounds out promoter shareholders on exiting Petronet

However, it may not be easy for ADB to exit, as the four public sector promoters – ONGC, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, and GAIL (India) – at any given point, cannot cumulatively hold more than 50 per cent in PLL.This stipulation is also reflected in the company's Articles of Association. Currently, ONGC, IOC, BPCL, GAIL hold 12.5 per cent each in PLL, taking their combined shareholding to 50 per cent, according to the latest shareholding pattern submitted to the stock exchanges. The other stakeholders include GDF SUEZ, the largest importer of LNG in Europe, which is the strategic partner holding 10 per cent equity. While ADB holds 5.2 per cent stake, the balance – 34.8 per cent – is held by public, financial institutional investors, and mutual funds.

“Alternatives need to be examined if ADB wants to exit the company,” an official source told Business Line adding that the options were whether the ADB stake can be offloaded in the market or a new investor could buy the stake.

5 Ways To Know If You’re Making A Difference

David Korten’s newly revised and greatly expanded 2nd edition of Agenda for a New Economy: From Phantom Wealth to Real Wealth, outlines an agenda to create a new kind of economy: locally-based, community oriented, and devoted to creating a better life for all. In this special pre-publication excerpt Korten explains how to tell if your actions are helping to build the new economy that “must be lived into being from the bottom up.”

For the many millions of us working to create a better world, it is easy to feel discouraged by the seeming insignificance of even major successes relative to the scale of the problems we face as a nation and a species. Consumed by the details and challenges of our daily engagements, we may easily lose sight of the big picture of the powerful social dynamic to which our work is contributing.

Step back from time to time; take a breath, look out beyond the immediate horizon to bring that big picture back into perspective. Reflect in awe and wonder at the power of the larger social dynamic to which your work contributes.

Engaging the Internal Community

EMC, this included engaging employee communities on a global scale, breaking down silos, and connecting people with people and with real-time resources. Be realistic — instead of promising specific cost savings, focus on things you know you'll be able to deliver, like reduced duplication of effort and less time spent looking for information. And be realistic about your budget, too — while social business software is less expensive than most enterprise solutions, it's not free.

At EMC, we've seen firsthand how powerful social business software can be. In just over two years, our employees have used our internal platform to create 160 active communities and 110 active groups. They've become better informed, more involved and engaged, and more efficient — in fact, they tell us they can't live without it.

But results like these don't come easily. To ensure success for your internal community-engagement initiative, you've got to win over two essential constituencies: the decision-makers who'll sign off on it, and the users whose participation will make or break it.
